“Owning your story is the bravest thing you’ll ever do”

― Brené Brown

My passion has always been to come alongside people who are in need and struggling in their lives and help them feel supported and understood. I too get what it’s like to feel stuck, struggle with mental health and trauma, not know how to understand and make sense of our emotions and experiences, be in the midst of troubled relationships, and feel like you are not the author of your life but merely just a character at the mercy of those around you. Through my personal experiences and training as a Marriage & Family Therapist and Art Therapist, it is my goal to help those in need understand the problems in their lives and overcome them. My love for art and the creative process can also help aid you in further making sense of your inner world, finding new ways to cope and express yourself, work through challenging experiences and emotions, and develop more resilience in your life. I am here to help you heal so that not only will your present and past not be repeated, but a new path can be forged.

I received my Masters of Art in Marriage & Family Therapy and Art Therapy at Phillips Graduate Institute in Los Angeles, California after prior to this time receiving my Bachelors of Arts at the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio. I have experience working in community mental health, private practice, and inpatient treatment programs running both group and individual therapy. I have worked with a wide range of individuals and families from varying backgrounds. I have experience working with parents with adopted and foster children, families adjusting to divorce and blended families, families and individuals dealing with substance abuse, people working through trauma and abuse, and those experiencing conflict for a wide range of reasons, just to name a few. I am passionate about working with children and teenagers as well as young adults as this crucial stage in life greatly paves the path for the rest of their adult lives.
